The Bite

We've been stalking (ahem) Alexandra Maize - and now we're gonna high five her for starting the Green Youth Movement. This high school junior's nonprof is working to implement green living schools curriculums (K-12) starting in LA and recently began peddling starter kits for green newbies. This one's rising to the top.

What's your eco-confession?
AM: I'm trying to completely stop using any plastic water bottles. It's been challenging when I play soccer and tennis.

What's the one eco thing you can't live without?
AM: My reusable shopping bags - I keep, like 20 of my Green Youth Movement bags in my trunk. I will even give them out for free at the store if I have extra.

Which type of transportation do you prefer: biking, walking, busing, train riding or driving an eco-automobile?
AM: I'm currently have an eco-friendly automobile called a GEM. It's an electric car that my parents bought 5 years ago. They drove it first, and then gave it to me this year when I got my driver's license. It's really cool - kind of looks like a golf car. It goes about 28 miles per hour.
